All our courses are taught in small boats which are easy to handle and light to launch. There are several introductory short sessions, early in the season, which offer a taster of this sport before making any further commitments.
There will be an RYA Level 1 / 2 course running across two weekends in July and August. These are full days.

Dinghy Instructor Courses
Minimum of RYA Stage 4 and Minimum Age 16. RYA First Aid and RYA Powerboat Level 2 are also required.
6 Full Days
Pre-entry Sailing Assessment with an RYA. Dinghy Coach Assessor. Adopt the RYA teaching methods. Introduction to many standardised teaching techniques.
To Instruct RYA Courses within an RYA Recognised Training Centre.
First Aid Courses
None
1 Full Day
Emergency resuscitation and basic First Aid with an emphasis on water sports.
The certificate is valid for 3 years after which time it expires.
RYA Seamanship Skills Courses
Sailing Skills to Level 3 Standard
2 Days
Launching and recovering the boat in different circumstances e.g. windward and leeward shores.
Stopping, reducing sail e.g. reefing. Recovering a man overboard. Anchoring. Towing. Rope work.
Able to handle a wide range of situations afloat.
